Mixing Fall Trends

I love the Fall season! I cannot stress that enough. I don't know if it's the layering, boots, scarves or just the transition into holiday season. So of course I'm excited for fall trends! Number one: I love that military cargo jackets are very in. I think a military style jacket with distressed boots just looks bad @%%! :) Number two: Now at first I wasn't very enthused with the whole leopard print trend but I've seen a few pieces and outfits that are really tastfully done. Usually I think its a bit obnoxious to mix trendy pieces but I think these two play well off each other.

Perfect touch of print. This would cinch in a cargo jacket very chic-ly.

Once I saw the promo images of Chanel Paradoxal Nail Lacquer I had to see it swatched!! I checked out one of my fav nail blogs, Scrangie.com and tah-dah!! The promo images just don't do justice. This color is a unique mix of muave, gray, and plum with a violet shimmer (lol my color interpretation) and will be everywhere! Remember the mint nail color? Yes, this will get the same lovin. I must throw in that Chanel doesn't get the best reviews on their lacquers staying power and for $23 this might be one of the few things most of us can afford from Chanel. Either way it's a beauty!

Forever 21 Maternity Line

One of my best friends is preggers at the moment and needless to say, she might love shopping just as much as me! Unfortunately, she hasn't had the best of luck shopping for maternity clothes in her little small town. On top of that she doesn't have a clue what size she really is anymore so she doesn't want to shop online. Soooo being the friend I am I had to let her know that Forever 21 has a new maternity line! Very slim pickings but they offer cute basics at an affordable price.

Mulberry for Target

So in case you haven't heard the good news....Mulberry is coming to Target! Yup, Mulberry is the next brand to collaborate with Target. Look for it in stores and online October 10th! Word is they will have a similar piece to the iconic 'Alexa' handbag. I will provide an update when more details are available. This collection will probably sell fast, be prepared! Wanted: Jennifer Zeuner Initial Necklace

I love accessories! Period. I've been seein Jennifer Zeuner's pieces in magazines for quite a while but I just never got on my computer and did the research. Well finally after I kept seeing starlets like Lauren Conrad, Jessica Alba and others wearing this jewlery line I had to check it out. Now I'm in love! I guess I thought this line would be expensive or hard to attain. In acutuality this beauty pictured above retails for $242 which actually isn't bad considering the hardware and that its custom made. Ahh the freezing temperatures have come among us. As much I love to layer up and have an excuse to wear my boots, it's not fun being outside or in your car waiting for the heat to kick in during the winter. It can be tricky staying fashionable and warm during these times. Bulky sweaters and heavy coats can hide a girl's figure. Anywho, I saw this pic of Jessica Alba and it gave me some needed inspiration. I love how casual and classy her style is. Her ensemble of nudes is gorg!

Ahh! Finally the anticipated fashion collaboration has come. Rodarte hit Target Dec. 20th has prices starting at $9.99 to $79.99. I don't know how I forgot about the debut date but I'm heading over to Target tomorrow ASAP! Of course I've scooped out Target.com and started making a wish list in my head. But it's nothing like seeing it in person so I hope there's something left :(

So I attended a fashion show a few weeks and I think i fell in love with two things...number one- French Connection and number two- Sequins!! I don't think I would have been interested in some of the outfits from French Connection if I hadn't seen them on these models. My favorite was the Mae dress with the peacock. Omg it's so beautiful!! Too bad its not in my budget right now :( But on a happy note I'm going to New York in about three weeks for Teen Vogue Fashion U (YAY!) and I really think a sequin piece is the way to go. I have been to see this collaboration and its finally here! Christian Siriano has teamed up with Payless for an afforable limited edition. I don't look at Payless often but this gives me a reason to!They debuted on the runway last year a lot more edgier but I'm assuming Payless wanted to tone it down to make it more marketable.

I just got off the phone with my sister and we had a convo about boots and the fall! It cant come soon enough. Its funny because I have had my eye on some boots since last season (ie. the Maison Martin Margiela) and she just spotted some similar ones at Aldo. Great minds think alike! I cant wait to see what Top Shop and Aldo bring this year! Here are some of my most wanted obsessions...as you can see I have a thing for the "fold" and suede. Ikea might have some competition. Word on the street is that Forever 21 will debut a home and beauty collection later on this year. Details have not been released yet but they will be in the larger stores. On Forever 21's official twitter they said "It is true. Although there is no set launch date just yet...we are currently in very early stages of development." I think it'll be great to see some trendy home decor from them. Now I'll be able to change up my room depending on my mood.Also I hate spending a lot of money on beauty items like mascara that expires in a few months so this will be neat to try.

With the success of Beyonce's last album, "I am...Sasha Fierce" Tina Knowles and her daughter Beyonce are creating a 'Sasha Fierce' collection under the line Deréon. The junior collection is "edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude”, says Tina. It is inspired by Beyonce's over the top outfits and jewelry as seen on her tour. To whomever runs across this blog...

I am creating this blog not in hopes of creating a following but more so just to create a time line and watch my sense of style evolve. There are so many things that I see in stores or online and I'm just like "Wow, Love That"...but the $1,000 just isn't in my wallet for a pair of shoes. So I do plan on putting pieces that are reasonably priced and some that we just hope get recreated by a less expensive brand (i.e. Forever 21, Aldo, etc.). I'd love for people to help me out and inform me of whats going on in the fashion as well as your own favorite fashion happenings. Ok im not a chatter bug so lets just see what happens!!
